Jeff Knaggs - Genealogy - the HENDY Family

The Dictionary of Surnames gives HENDY as an English (mainly West Country) nickname for a pleasant and affable person - from the Middle English for courteous, kind, gentle.

The IGI has HENDY baptisms and marriages in Thornbury back to 1676 but I haven't established a connection to them with any certainty yet.
